Going With Google!

18th May 2008 by PHPLD Templates

As many of you directory owners and webmaster’s would be knowing, there was a PR update recently. Google has ripped our PR from 5 to 3 to 0. Despite all our hard work, all original content and so many vistors, we have nothing green on the PR greenbar. We strive hard to make PHPLD Templates a big and a beautiful resource, but since the PR was ripped off after so much of hard work going into it, we at PHPLD-Templates.com have decided to go along with Google’s Terms against paid links.

We are no longer offering any kind of advertising on our site. We have removed all the payment options, the advertising plans and many of the paid advertisers as and when there time was up.

We would also remove the links to the sites we exchanged links with. I hope, in some way or other, we all benefit from it!

  1. Hi
Good luck with getting your PR back, same thing happen to a similar site of mine and despite removing all outbound links i still didnt get my PR back, that was aprox 6 months ago so 2 updates have passed and still no PR 🙁

You may also want to consider removing the keyword spam at the top of the page:

“phpLD, Templates, Free, phpLinkDirectory, Webmaster, Freebies, Free Web Directory, Directory Of Directories, Premium phpLD Templates, phpLD Mods, phpLD news, phpLD Script announcements, phpldtemplates, free directory, best designs, web designs, best directories, free directories, paid directories, strong directories ”

Or at least try to make it look a little more NATURAL…

At the end of the day as long as your SERPs are still good does PR really matter?

    All the best…
    And Good Luck!!

  2. Hi
Just another thought, you still have quite a lot of outbound links, you should consider using the “nofollow” tag on all non essential outbound links, for example your hostgator affiliate link is a do follow link, do you really need to give your link juice away to hostgator? I’m guessing not.
    Just an idea….

  3. Hello mazoo
Thanks for your feedback. Frankly, i am in process of removing outbound links at the moment. But i cannot remove them all as long as they don’t expire! So it will take sometime.

Yes, no following the links of demo’s and download link’s and template providers can be done. But i can’t think of doing that all of a sudden considering that there are about 150 plus reviewed templates here!

Bottomline. I agree to you in all aspects. But no following and removing OBL is a little longer process and will take time. Hopefully with some time, this will be link free resource!
