This is nearly end of the fabulous year 2006. There was just one template which i never blogged about after it’s launch. Because if there had to be one template that had to be “The Best Template Of Year 2006″, it had to be “The SwirlMix” by Serg of RealWD.
phpLD Templates officially announce SwirlMix as the “The Best Free phpLD Template of Year 2006“.
SwirlMix has been very carefully designed. This phpLD template has all the grace, the beauty, the design, the glamour, the looks. I mean, what else can one ask for?
The header fonts, the search bar, the navigation bar and the categories table. We have that in every template. But all the hard work shows up here in SwirlMix phpLD template. You will fall in love with the background design. Very rarely it happens that dark colored template seems so much pleasing to your eyes. SwirlMix is no exception for such templates. Moreover the template is for phpLD version 3.1, 3.06 and 2.1.

phpLD world has never been the same. We have so many good phpLD designers out there. But with likes of Syed Balkhi among the best phpLD designers, it is ensured that phpLD powered directories has an excellent future.
After a great succes of few phpLD templates namely, Soil Green phpLD Template, Brown phpLD Template, and Blue Ocean phpLD Template, Syed Balkhi is back with Green Jump phpLD template. And as usual, the template is very elegant and very neat and clean.
Graet color combination. Black header folowed by a striking green with simple navigation bar. Very neatly placed indeed. All this followed by a centralized search bar with blue and white striped backdrop. Rest all in the template is a very well placed and well spaced categories table. Headings in all green, Subcategories in all blue and white backdrop. Syed Balkhi must have really been inspired by a beautiful peacock dancing in the rain under a white cloudy sky. The color combination is simply fabulous. And that is what makes this phpLD template much more graceful than what it really looks like.
Overall, a very neat and clean, peacock-y phpLD template. 
Really recommended!!!

It’s has been long. Very long since we saw Graffias in action. Now they are back and back with good news. Graffias went all green this time around, launching their Green Channel phpLD Template for all versions of phpLD. Wow! This is what we call a comeback! Good work.
Talking about Green Channels phpLD Template. I haven’t seen any better design from Graffias than the Green Channels. Graffias really did a great job with this template. Very nicely picked colors. Making combinations with greenie is not easy. But green and orange combo adds all the grace to thisbeautiful template. Great design as well. Very simple yet elegant navigation bar to begin with and a nicely placed search bar to follow it. Good looking search button. To follow it up we have a left column for the sponsor links or advertisers. And to it’s right we have a very well designed category table. A brilliant mix of orange and dark green on light green colored background makes it a very good looking phpLD template.
The best part is, the Green Channels phpLD Template is available for phpLD versions 2.0 – 2.1 – 3.06 – 3.1. Now what else one could ask for. Really a great work Graffias! Well done!

Yet again we have an awesome template from friends Futuristic Artists. Time and again i have mentioned the same thing but still i can’t resis saying that again…Futuristic, very futuristic design from Futuristic Artsists. What they design now, will be designed in future by others.. They are always one step ahead of everyone. And i really appreciate that.
ForumBase phpld template is one of the neatest, cleanest and most appropiate template for your directories if you are looking to make your directories look great and not so trendy. An excellent logo and very elegant search bar. Really add the looks to the directory. A very well designed navigation bar too. Followed by a full width categories table. So for a change we do not have a vertical navigation or sponsor bar in this phpld template after a long long time. Pheww!! I guess each and every template nowadays has it. But a nice little change this time around.We do have some space for sponsored sites which can be well utilizzed if you are looking for few sponsors. They are placed right beneath the categories table, however when you go on inside pages, like within a category, these sponsored links changes it’s position to left column. Good innovative idea. The template colors goes very easy on the eyes. With white backdrop and a greyish tinge, it is a very ideal phpld template. I personally have this template on my directory as well. So really recommended.

It had been long since we saw a template from Emillie. But i guess the wait paid off.
I don’t Emillie has designed any better template than this before. It’s simply rocking!!!!
The template is named Alpha. The color combinations are mind blowing. Variants of orange and blue color. Looks fabulous. I personally recommend this template for that great looks on your direcrtory. Orange naigation bar tabs looks awesome. A very well placed categories tables. Space on rigt for search bar and sponsors. Either get some sitewide sponsors links or google/yahoo ads. Overall, it’s one the rare templates which i recommended to someone. Really, a very well designed templates by friends, Emillie.
